The Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Reclamation Museum, located on Beisan Road in the urban area of Shihezi City, is a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction. Established through the transformation and expansion of the historic "First Military Reclamation Building"—a municipal-level protected cultural heritage site—the museum traces its origins to the 1988 founding of the Shihezi Military Reclamation Museum Preparatory Office. In 2004, this institution underwent significant redevelopment, evolving into the comprehensive exhibition platform it is today. In 2008, the museum fulfilled its cultural mission by opening its doors to the public free of charge, becoming a key custodian of military reclamation history and a vital educational resource.

Recreation Square

The Recreation Square stands as a picturesque attraction directly opposite the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Military Reclamation Museum on Beisan Road in Shihezi. Initially constructed in 1984, the square underwent a comprehensive and large-scale renovation in 1998, transforming it into the expansive and inviting space it is today, spanning a generous 24.13 hectares.
